What is ClockAssist
ClockAssist is software that automates time registration by automatically mapping out their workday. Mapping out phone calls is, of course, an important part of this. To accomplish this, we have developed a VoIP integration. This involves connecting to the VoIP central to then be able to track phone calls.
How does it work
ClockAssist registers as a SoftPhone on the SIP server and then uses the BLF protocol to read the status of other phones.
Thus, a VoIP account must be available specifically for this integration and the BLF protocol must be supported by the VoIP server.
Also, the VoIP server must accept external registrations.
Step 1: Create account
Create an account or available specifically for the ClockAssist integration. This cannot be used by anyone else.
Download or find the login information for this account that can be used to log into the SIP server.
Step 2: Establish connection
Enter the details of the VoIP account provided below and make sure it can connect to the VoIP server.
Step 3: Subscribe to user
Now that the connection to the VoIP server is established, we can subscribe to an employee's phone after which we will try to read the BLF status. Enter below the Account ID / User ID of a VoIP phone in use by an employee.
Step 4: Submit credentials
Are the above steps successful? Then the data can be submitted to us. We will then ensure that the VoIP link is configured correctly within the customer's account.
